Full time job - $100K - $130K plus benefits
Job Description:
Manage production Windows and Unix servers that provide web, database and application services for Intranet and Internet users. Work with development groups to upgrade and maintain existing and new Windows and Unix based infrastructure. Provides assistance in the design and integration of applications and infrastructure components using industry accepted best practices. Provide administration and technical support services for database and applications development groups. This includes system installations, upgrades, configuration management, security configuration, patches, customization of middleware environments, troubleshooting, and crash recovery.
Requirements:
-System Administration experience on Linux, Solaris, and Windows Operating Systems
-Strong troubleshooting skills at both the Application, OS, and Network levels
-Experience with supporting applications and their associated development teams and end-users within a high availability production environment
-Ability to support off-hours work shifts (nights/weekends) for operational tasks such as system maintenance and application upgrades
-Application / Web Server experience (WebLogic, Oracle Application Server, Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Iplanet, or others)
-UNIX and Windows scripting experience
-Experience with Directory Services a plus
-Experience with Virtualization technologies a plus.
-Must have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to document procedures
-Strong organizational and people skills
-Willingness to learn new technologies and work on tasks outside of current skill-set on the fly
Location: Jersey City / Hoboken
Compensation: $100K - $130K plus benefits
